I've met many photographers that through the years, dropped their cameras, or had big gaps when they didn't take photos.

Talking with them, I realised that we all go through phases and even if sometimes we feel good about our photography, other times, we don't- and we feel lonely.

Specially when you are first starting and you haven't even developed 'your style'.

SO, I know you WANT to go and take photos but...

1. You feel lonely (and for sure stuck) in your journey.

2. no one in your circle understands what you are trying to do or learn (and sometimes, you don’t even know.)

3. And other photographers you know, they are just not your 'vibe'. Every time you share with them, you feel you get roasted :(

Now I want you to imagine this…

You now have a community of cool group of photo-friends who you actually enjoy hanging out and talking photography with.

You get monthly FUN challenges to work on your photography skills and new techniques.

You get proper feedback to improve your photos and work towards YOUR style…

The good thing? Perfectly possible :)

Yes, you can be part of a community of people who not only are positive and supportive, but that you actually feel happy to share your photos with :)

Travel style ;)

Hi, I'm Aga :)

World traveler, photographer and teacher!

Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to travel the world. I was the little kid that just couldn't miss a single school trip - with my camera. As soon as I finished school I left Poland - it's now been 20 years and 90 countries.

I became a travel photographer because when you are traveling, there's NO NEED to focus on ONE photography niche

(my busy mind doesn't let me!)

I've now been involved in "serious" photography for the last 10 years. I offer photo sessions and events sometimes, but mostly, I shoot what I like - and then present them to photo competitions :)

I have won various international photo contests and I have often been a finalist when I presented my photos - all in less than 6 years!

My photos have appeared in places like National Geographic Poland magazine and Nikon Germany website.

But it wasn't so easy at the start.

I started with zero knowledge, driven by the desire to be seen and win.

I went through some 'dark periods' where I felt really lost, I didn't connect with 'my style', and I didn't know what to do with my photography - everyone kept telling me to choose something and 'niche down'.

But I refused to niche down, and it worked for me.

I've proven that it’s possible to be number one in many styles.

COVID Pandemic stopped my travels – but opened space for real growth.

I learned mostly on my own, studied winning photos, started entering competitions – and winning.

I found many communities , gained confidence, and now, I began teaching others.

I teach people not just how to take photos, but how to observe and feel the world. It's deeply emotional and intuitive.

I want to help build a community of people who are supportive, open-minded, and where REAL growth can happen.

Camera clubs are for the people who thrive in a competitive environment but there's no real support.

I'm all for competitions (obviously), but I had to make my own way, because there wasn't any guidance anywhere.

That’s WHY I joined LensLife.

LensLife is for the people who don’t like those environments and just want to learn, have fun and be happier with their photos.

1. NatGeo Poland - Unexpected Poland category (I missed the award ceremony :( but my friend filled in!)

2. Nature Conservancy photo contest - Number 1 in Aerial category :)

3. Travel Photographer of the Year - Rising Talent Award 2024!

LensLife: the monthly challenges

So… because “Momentum through Joy” is our first value, we do monthly challenges where people have to learn and apply a new skill.

(or practice and refresh something they already know).

We ALL focus on that skill for an entire month, so that by the end of it, you master it.

(and even if we are not submitting challenge photos we can still share them with the community).

LensLife Collective Hub

So… who are the Lensies?

The LensLife Collective (or, Lensies) are a bunch of open-minded, fun-loving and caring individuals, and they’ve come together to form a truly vibrant community of photography enthusiasts.

(ranging all the way from first-time-ever beginners to absolute pros)

ALL of them come together to grow, learn, and inspire each other in an ACTUALLY supportive and collaborative space.

They all have shared goals…

- They want to connect with like-minded creatives who are in the same mental space as we are. Being around other photographers helps them stay motivated.

- They want practical exercises, so that they can get out to practice with their cameras, with the local group or by themselves, and have an amazing time.

- They want true, critical and constructive feedback in a safe, and encouraging space, so that they CAN take that feedback on and improve!

- AND they definitely want to learn new techniques, so having that massive library at their disposal is just… amazing.

HOW do Lensies connect:

LensLife Platform + App

We have an online space where you can:

  • Ask questions and get thoughtful answers.

  • Share your photos and celebrate wins with a supportive community.

  • Access the library of training and online courses.

  • Earn awards and recognition for your contributions.

  • Stay organized with easy access to the calendar and links for all upcoming classes and events.

  • Feel safe knowing we enforce clear guidelines for constructive feedback to ensure a positive and respectful environment.

LensLife: the Online Academy

The Library

This is for all levels!

Dive into the ever-expanding library of specialized courses and notes covering a broad variety of topics, going from the absolute basics (we all need to get back to those once in a while), to travel photography (naturally ;) - as you'd expect!), astrophotography, to editing- you name it.

This library evolves based on what you ask for, ensuring it meets your needs and keeps your skills sharp- so, make sure you ASK!

Also, aaaall live training will be stored here...

So that you never miss a class.

The Success Path

This is for the ones who want to take it to “the next level”.

(is it me, or is that phrase starting to lose its meaning?)

ANYWAY, for those who want to go a step further, be that, becoming a photography teacher, running workshops, sell services, selling prints, mentoring other people…

The LensLife Success Path is designed to help you focus on the right things at the right time so you don’t feel overwhelmed.

Each stage builds on the previous one, so that you have the confidence and clarity as you progress.

This means that the more advanced photographers will have opportunities to learn about business, become mentors - and keep growing.

Best thing? You go at YOUR pace, and as far as YOU want.

The Travel Photography Course

In this pre-recorded course (which you can start as soon as you join Lenslife!) I went all-in on sharing everything I leart through my years of traveling!

I share everything is classes that go from 1:30 hours to 2 hours...

So get ready to learn A LOT!

Class 1: Planning

We go over our reasons behind our photography, our WHY.

Then we dive deep into all the key aspects of planning - from obvious ones like budget and transport, to not so obvious ones such as obtaining local knowledge!

And of course, a whole bunch of my tips and tricks to find your way (and never lose your photos)

Class 2: Equipment

The best gear secret? I'll tell you right now:

THE ONE YOU HAVE WITH YOU.

We learn all about different cameras and lenses of course, but if your phone is in your pocket and your camera is fixed on a tripod...

Well, the phone might still be the right tool!

Then we dive deep into the more technical aspects of lenses AND some editing :)

Class 3: Composition

I break a lot of rules.

But you have to know the rules to break them!!

And then, there are a few I use regularly and that I love.

There are MANY MANY MANY composition guidelines, so we go over them, my take on them, how I use them and I show a lot of examples!

This is the best class because I show how I think my photos :)

Class 4: Ethics and mindset

Here I share a lot of personal stories on things that didn't go that well, and what I learnt during those travels.

We can clash with new cultures, so it's always good to learn from other people's mistakes!!

And then - the big topic. Our mindset! I absolutely loved this class. Can't wait to hear what you think of it!

Coming up...

Aga's tips and tricks: enter photo competitions!

For those who are interested in taking their photography to a whole different sphere - I'll be creating a series on how to enter competitions.

I've entered (and won ;) ) many international competitions across the five continents! I've learnt A LOT during all these years and have so much to share around it.

I started to participate in photo competitions in 2021. I discovered that I can be good in many niches and proved this to the world!

I realised I wanna help others to improve and take not copied photos but the ones they feel :)

I'll also add an option to book a catch up to help you curate your image selection :)

So…. how’s it different from your local camera club?

Well, for one thing, this is an online community, with local meet ups.

(Local: wherever the members live…)

This means that attending our meetings is super easy.

(you just need a phone.. Though a computer is much more comfortable, I’d say).

It also means it’s dynamic.

We are quick to adapt and change as the community’s needs develop and change.

But mainly….

We are a bunch of people who just wanna have fun.

No points. No comparison. No competition.

In LensLife, it's about the people in the community - not about proving who knows more.

It's definitely about learning!

But in a conducive environment, where we can have a laugh, and remind ourselves that it's all about the ENJOYMENT, not the product.

Meet Coni!

Coni is the mastermind behind LensLife.

She actually built this community from scratch! I felt SO privileged when she asked me to deliver my first Travel Photography class, and even more so when she invited me to become an affiliate!

Coni and I met in China, at the top of a mountain, many years ago!

We have stayed in touch and recently connected more deeply through our shared passion to build a community of like-minded people.

Coni runs LensLife monthly challenges, organizes outings with the local groups in New Zealand, and makes sure everyone is thriving in the community.

She constantly looks for opportunities to make the community grow and to improve the offer within the membership.

You'll see a lot of her when you join in!

So, how does a regular month IN LensLife look?

Week 1: The Challenge Announcement

First Monday, a new challenge starts.

You then have an entire week to start working on the challenge by yourself, and find out what is challenging you.

The monthly challenges are here to push you to try new techniques... and here’s where you find TRUE growth.

Week 2: Challenge Boost Live Session

Here, me or another expert gives a structured class on the skill we are working on and answers YOUR questions.

The other members of the community also help each other as they already had a week to do the challenge on their own, and that’s honestly the BEST part.

Here’s where the theory sessions can help YOU improve your photography and learn new skills, so that you can take photos you appreciate.

Week 3: LensLife Lab sessions

These are our live photo analysis sessions.

The community submits their photos for community feedback and analysis, under the community guidelines and with one of the experts running the session.

They can also upload photos they really like from other photographers and want to achieve similar results.

Here, we push our Core Value #3: Learn from one another

These sessions not only help you understand what others may see in your photography, but also inspire you in so many ways you can achieve one or another emotion through photos!

They say a photo can say 1000 words…

Week 4: The wrap up

We give 7 awards at the end of each month- but the tone of the challenge is not competitive.

We choose different judges each month from within the community,

…and we are all aware that they will choose the photos that resonate more with them at that particular moment.

It’s about celebrating everyone's perspectives, not about taking the ‘best’ photo

(what is that anyway?!)

What do I offer inside LensLife?

I run "Aga’s Critiques"

Lensies can submit photos for my feedback and very thoughtful critique. I have a specific channel in the platform where you can submit your images!

“How Would Aga Edit My Photo?”

You can email me RAW file, and I'll create a short video showing how I would edit it :)
I like trying different things and this is very interesting!!

Curated by Aga

Guidance for those interested in entering competitions! I'll help you run your image selections for competitions, exhibitions, or themed collections :)

Quarterly Hot Seat!

A live session every 3 months to get all your questions answered! You can submit your questions in advance or ask them in the live session!

Some of the members' perks

INSTANT downloads by Coni

A few cheat sheets and PDF-books to take with you everywhere (because that sunset just happened to show up in bright colours and your brain froze, and now you need a quick reminder)

Instant Download #1: The Photo Explorer's Handbook PDF

This covers every case scenario (well, maybe not EVERY case, but everything from flowing and still landscapes, to light trails, to portraits, to flowers, you’ll find it)

In the end - Coni created this handbook to help her fellow photographers master manual mode with ease.

Inside, you'll find practical tips and settings for different lighting, subjects, and creative effects—so you can confidently capture the world exactly as you see it.

Instant Download #2: Photography DIGITAL Cheat Sheets

So that you have a quick reference guide to improve your shots instantly.

These cheat sheets provide easy-to-understand, graphical explanations of your camera's manual mode, buttons, focus areas, focus modes, and metering modes.

(Don’t worry, in the Library there’s also a video course to run you through what all that means)

So….whether you're adjusting settings on the fly (crisis mode averted) or looking to master the complexities of your camera, these guides WILL help you navigate your camera's features with confidence and precision (especially if you pair them with the other courses - and practice on the monthly challenges).

Instant Download #3 Guide: 7 Steps that WILL improve your photos right now

Well… pretty self explanatory this one.

7 things to watch out for, so that your photos look as you intend them to.

It’s a straightforward, easy-to-follow roadmap to enhance your photography quickly.

Each step focuses on a specific aspect of photography, such as composition, lighting, focus, exposure, etc.

By following ANY (but best all) of these seven steps, you (and your tribe) will see noticeable improvements in your photos, making them more compelling and visually appealing.

Now, I KNOW the current economic climate is a bit shaky...

Let’s not ignore the elephant in the room.

I mean, is this WWIII already?! I don’t know.

And yes, you are probably re-considering some expenses and prioritizing.

I get it.

But, I’m a firm believer that it is in these moments when we most strongly want to be in a safe space.

Be able to share with other people, throughout the world.

Be able to still appreciate the smallest of things.

To be grateful for what we have.

And that means something different for everyone.

For me, it’s about sharing the love of photography, and focusing on the things that make us feel part of a community.

DON’T join Lenslife if…

  • You leave mean comments in other people’s photos (you’re just not welcome here)

  • You shoot photos only for the insta-likes (Yeah, that’s just not why we do it)

  • You are never wrong and other people's opinions don’t serve you (we value our community here, so, no thanks).

DO join Lenslife if…

  • You need more reasons to get out and shoot (you’ll get plenty of those)

  • Sometimes you feel lonely, or stuck, in your journey and wish you had someone to share photography with

(You kinda need that extra push to do something you really enjoy but sometimes lack motivation, a reason or accountability)

  • You absolutely thrive when learning new skills.

  • You don’t like those competitive environments and just want to learn, have fun and be happier with your photos.

  • You enjoy photography and want to make it a bigger part of your life.

  • A community like this one sounds awesome to you.

Absolutely!

Accessible Resources

The content library includes beginner-friendly courses, tutorials, and resources tailored just for you, making it easy to learn at your own pace.

Supportive Community:

As a member, you'll join a welcoming community of fellow photographers who truly share your passion, all the way from beginners to advanced.

Engaging Challenges:

Our monthly challenges are designed to help you practice what you learn while having fun and exploring your creativity.

I am shy and I don't want to be actively participating, is there a way I can still ask questions?

Absolutely!

I understand that not everyone feels comfortable speaking up, and that you’ll need some time to see how you feel in the community (I know you’ll feel amazing)

That’s why I offer multiple ways for you to ask questions.

You can submit your questions through the LensLife platform, and they’ll be answered either by other members or myself in the platform

You can also submit questions to be answered in the live sessions.

And, you can also browse through previously answered questions in our library—there’s a solution for every comfort level!

What if I can’t attend live classes?

No problem!

All live classes are recorded, and replays will be available in the member portal.

You can watch them anytime at your convenience, so you never miss out on the valuable insights and lessons. 😊📸

.

How do I interact with the community?

Our online platform and app are user-friendly and designed to make interaction so easy!

You can comment on posts, share your own photos, and start chats with fellow members.

I want to ensure you feel confident using the platform, so I made some videos to help you navigate everything

(it CAN be a bit overwhelming to start without a guide, so do watch the videos)

What equipment do I need to get started?

Yourself, and a camera!

You can participate with any camera—whether it’s a DSLR, mirrorless, or even a smartphone!

The focus is on developing your skills and creativity, so use what you have and grow from there.

How often are live classes held?

There are two live classes each month:

Challenge Boost Session

It’s about giving technical guidance on the subject of the monthly challenge.

You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, share your struggles, and receive support from both our team and fellow members 🙂

So that you feel more motivated and better equipped to tackle the challenge!

LensLife Lab

This session allows you to submit photos for critique or analysis.

It’s not just about receiving feedback; we’ll also deconstruct the images to explore how specific effects are achieved.

This deeper understanding will help you refine your skills and elevate your photography game.

No pressure - there’ll be replays and you are most definitely NOT required to be active throughout the entire session.

This is a relaxed environment where you can participate at your own pace.

What types of photography challenges can I expect?

Each month, we present a challenge designed to spark your creativity.

Challenges cater to various skill levels, and there are multiple categories to ensure everyone has the chance to win prizes!

We’ve had Rule of thirds, Rule of odds, panning….. And many more to come!

Every month we announce and teach a Technical Challenge (this month's one is Double Exposures) and a Creative Challenge (this month's one is Urban).

We give 7 different awards at the end of the month including Most Improved, Creative Vision and Unique Pespective so anyone can win regardless of their level.

Is the membership time-bound?

No, this membership is ongoing!

You can join at any time and stay as long as you like.

Well, not any time. Just when doors are open, like, only these 5 days.

Your journey inside LensLife is flexible, so you can learn, grow, and participate at your own pace without worrying about a set start or end date.

And all the previous challenges can be found on the Learning Resources section!

What if I want to cancel?

If you choose the monthly plan, you can cancel at any time without any hassle.

Easy as!

For those of you on the yearly plan, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to request a full refund if you decide it’s not the right fit for you.

If you're uncertain, I recommend starting with the monthly plan so you can explore everything Lenslife has to offer with a tad less commitment.

And remember, if you decide to leave, you’re always welcome to return as long as our doors are open!

Just keep in mind that if you come back later, you’ll need to sign up at the current price.

What is the Price Locked Guarantee?

It basically means that when you become a Lensie, your membership fee will remain locked in at the current rate for as long as you remain an active participant!

This means you won’t have to worry about unexpected price increases in the future (every launch there'll be a slight increase), allowing you to invest in your photography journey with peace of mind.

In addition, you will automatically qualify for exclusive challenges and prizes without having to worry about fluctuating costs!

Why is your price in USD if you are based in New Zealand?

Although I'm based in New Zealand, my audience and community are international, with members from all over the world.

Using USD helps keep things consistent and simple for the majority of students, especially since most platforms I use (like course hosting and payment systems) default to USD for global accessibility.

That said, I totally get it if you're in NZ — feel free to message me if you need help understanding the conversion or if you'd prefer to pay via NZ bank transfer.

Happy to help! 😊

Becoming a Lensie now means you’ll get access to everything as soon as the doors open on 30 July.

Now, if you are still here, reading undecidedly…

On 4 August, when doors have closed, will you be happy with your decision NOT to join us?

Will you have found another way to fuel your photography?

OR will you be looking back at those doors wishing you could have a community of other photographers to cheer you along, lots of courses to learn from, and live classes to connect?

If you have aaaaaany questions you feel haven’t been answered in this rather extensive piece.

(I promise I TRIED to answer every single question that I thought could come to mind, but I’m not a mind reader so…)

… feel free to email me directly at [email protected]

I’ll reply to ALL the emails :)
